The Vision Statement.
Vision Statement
JESUS CHRIST FIRST
The Mount Moriah Missionary Baptist Church is a church striving to be Christ centered, Biblically based, Holy Spirit led, in order to meet the needs of the total person by:1.Exalting the Savior! 2.Evangelizing the sinner! 3.Equipping the saved! 4.Edifying the saints! 5.Preparing our youth for ministry and 6.Encouraging every soul! Through administrative excellence by the power of the Holy Spirit in Christ Jesus, our LORD.
PURPOSE STATEMENT
To provide our community and surrounding area with an inclusive Christocentric ministry that effectively meet the needs of the total person; presenting the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ in a clear, effective Bible based contextualized manner to all, so that people might encounter the love of God and God’s people in such a way that causes His providential purpose to be revealed, pertinent potential to be released and Divine power to be received, changing the lives of people who ultimately change the world.
WE BELIEVE
We affirm the Holy Bible as the inspired Word of God and the basis of our belief. We believe that Jesus Christ is the way, the truth, and the life, and that no one can go unto God but by Him (John 14:6). We believe that salvation is obtained only through confessing with the mouth the Lord Jesus Christ, and believing in the heart that God raised him from the dead (Romans 10:9). We believe in baptizing through submersion in water, filling of the Holy Ghost, and observance of the Lord’s Supper. We believe that we must love one another as Christ loved us (John 13:34). We believe the church ministries should be financed through tithes and offerings of the congregation. We voluntarily band ourselves together as a body of baptized believers in Jesus Christ. Personally committed to sharing the Good News of salvation to lost people.
6Jesus answered, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life. The only way to the Father is through me. 7If you really knew me, you would know my Father, too" (John 14:6-7)OBJECTIVES
To be a dynamic spiritual organism empowered by the Holy Spirit to share Christ with as many people as possible wherever and whenever needed. To be a worshipping fellowship, experiencing an awareness of God, recognizing His person, and responding in obedience to his leadership. To experience an increasingly meaningful fellowship of God and man. To help people experience a growing knowledge of God and man. To be a church which ministers unselfishly to persons of all color, race, sex, or national origin in the community and the world in Jesus’ name. To be a church whose purpose is to be Christlike in our daily living by emphasizing total commitment of life, personality, and possessions to the Lordship of Christ.
